No one writes funny poems anymore!
They've all become so angsty!
So full of tragedy, grief, what a bore!
So sappy, and so frankly…

I want a poem that makes fun of life,
Like falling off a broom!
Or house elves dancing in the dead of night,
In Minerva's living room!

Let's have a yarn about a lost ball of string,
That Crookshanks cannot find!
And just for a moment, I beg you please!
Let's leave the angst behind!

No one can want to spend their whole day moaning!
Let's hear something that has a bit more fun!
Let's tell a tale of the Weasley brothers boasting…
Before Prof. Snape discovers what they've done!

Or maybe about the time Hagrid let Flitwick, teachmagical creatures care!
Flitwick went into their enclosure…
We think he's still trapped there!

So let's tell a story that makes fun of life!
Put Death Eaters and doom aside!
Cause our group of children are growing up fast,
And soon the time for comedy will have passed,
And then all you authors, then at last!
You can go write your angst with a moodier cast!

But for now! Let comedy be expressed,

….because it's always fun to jest!

"…Albus, what are you doing?"
Dumbledore stopped, put down his canary yellow quill, and looked up. "Writing poetry! The great arts never fade, care to take a peek?"
