Strange that after many a Kingdom Hearts fanfic I finally come here, to the Inu-Yasha fanficness...

Better late than never, I suppose :P

Before I continue...

I apologise to the people waiting for me to update my other story...

AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS SOMEWHAT SADISTIC AND HILARIOUS, REVIEW!

Disclaimer: Nope...If I owned Inu-Yasha, that would make meh a very happy person. And yet, I don't so...what can you do? Also, I'd speak Japanese fluently, and the extent of what I can say is 'ja ne!' and 'gomen nasai!' And all the endings of respect/friendship etc...OH, YOU GET THE IDEA!

Anyway...on with the fic!

Rainy Day

"Put by for a rainy day--" proverb.

Something about rainy days always showed that something bad was going to happen. And boy, was it pelting down. The sun was completely covered behind angry clouds that let their anger out on the world with electrical flashes of thunder and lightning.

And the clouds lamented to our city of Tokyo.

"Kagome...Kagome!" I looked away from the window, and there was mama. She looked distressed. Her face was wet. Had she been in the rain? But then, her clothes were bone-dry. She grabbed my hand.

"Time to go, Kagome. Papa's leaving now." She began walking to the door, grabbing my raincoat and putting it on me.

"Papa's leaving? Where? Where's he going, mama?"

She opened the door, and rain instantly pelted into the shrine. "Far away." I didn't ask any more.

And there he was, standing in front of the well house. Before there had been a padlock on it, but now there was none. The inside of the well house was dark and foreboding. A spider had made it's home in one corner of the door, but it had been destroyed by the wind and the rain.

Was that what was going to happen to us?

I walked down the stairs, mama holding my hand. Halfway down the stairs, she clutched her stomach, wincing in pain.

"Are you okay, mama?"

"Mama's fine, Kagome dear."

I could see papa standing in front of the well itself. He was facing away from us.

"You should be careful. For the sake of the baby." Baby? I didn't see a baby anywhere. He kneeled down and faced me, so that our eyes were on the same level. "Kagome. Be careful, okay? Look after yourself," he patted me on the chest. "And the thing inside of you. Because your future will lead you into the past. Okay?" I nodded slowly, though I didn't really understand.

The thing inside of me...

I must have looked away because there was a flash from the well and papa wasn't there anymore.

Something wet slid down my cheek, though the rain hadn't got into the well house.

End of Rainy Days

So ends this short chapter...BUT IT REALLY WILL GET LONGER! I SWEAR IT WILL! God, that didn't sound all that convincing...how sad.

READ AND THEN REVIEW IT AND THEN...I'll be happy...? And won't stop this little story prematurely either :P

Until next time, most likely non-existant reviewers!
