Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Inuyasha characters. They belong to Rumiko Takahashi.
The night was silent, not one sound was heard, as if a child had been smothered into the breast of their mother. Trees whispered secrets through the forest, voices carried by a passing breeze. The ancient tongue fell deafly upon the ears of humans. However, many creatures listen with a lazy ear. The words not quite registering in their minds. As leaves trembled, and the wind howled throughout the night . . .
"She's dead. She's free. She's gone"
In the land of the West, light filtered the sky. Unimaginable power felt heavy in the air. Tension was thick, and anxiety was obvious. The tranquil quality of the land is lost, buried deep within the ground. In the far distant, you can feel the earth tremble, as a masterpiece was created.
A figure in white stood afar as his critical eyes made a final sweep across this site. Strands of silver whipping and dancing in the wind. Markings of a purebred shone in the moonlight, glistering brightly. Inhuman eyes pierced through the air, as a sword through flesh. A wrinkle was evident between his brow as he growled out,
"Despicable"
And with a flick of his wrist, the spectacular were destroyed. Leaving nothing behind but pain and destruction. The final word wafted to the gates of heaven,
"Impotent."
The sweet melody of the mocking bird drifted in and out of the forest. Taunting those, who hear it, and cursing those, who don't. But the crunch of leaves interrupted the harmony, and breaking its spell. The lord of the Western land glided out of the trees. Leaving nothing behind that would expose of his doings. Nothing at all, except one.
In the deep forest of the West, was a cave. It was not natural. The entrance was carved with the skill that could rival Michelangelo. Radiance, which no human will ever grace their eyes on, danced on the arch. Intricate designs adorn the walls of the carven. However, these carvings were far from joyous. They were filled with agony and longing. Making it all the more beautiful. Pictures that told a story. A tragic tale of two lovers that were tangled in a web of ill fortune. Threads that bound them together, and yet, tore them apart. At the center of the cave was a dome, protecting an object of destruction. Rays of light streamed from the top, trapping all who gaze at the weapon. Created to bring the strongest youkai to their knees, to annihilate, and to create. A small fan gleamed in the light. This blade was proof of their tale. The fable that decorated the walls of the cavern.
The ill-fated story of Sesshoumaru and Kagura.
What do you think? Good, bad? Review and tell me...
