New Beginnings

A/N: Ooh, this idea came to me randomly. Now you see, in my opinion, it can't be all happy clappy after Voldemort, that'd be stupid. So now they've got another evil dude on their backs.

Dark Lord Defeated

A nation rejoices as it emerges that He Who Must Not Be Named has

been defeated. Harry Potter, who was destined to fight the Dark Lord, came out

victorious in the fateful duel. Our hero refused to comment on the matter. No doubt still in shock from the enormity of his victory. Glasses are raised all over the country for freedom, new beginnings and of course, Harry Potter.

"Wow! Quite the celebrity, aren't you?" Ginny teased.

"Well aren't you quick off the mark!" Harry said sarcastically.

"Oh, shut up. Do you want a glass of this or what?" She said, waving the half empty bottle in his face. "You never know, it might even put a smile on your face!"

In spite of himself, Harry smiled. After all, he had just freed them all from an evil murderous bastard who'd been destroying families for decades! Surely he deserved a drink! Thanks to him, any problems would seem trivial now!

OooooooooooooooO

Joan was pacing in her room. Thinking about Judith, Adam…Ryan. His words kept playing over. The way he'd spoken to her, the way he could worm round everyone. Couldn't they see he was evil! Adam had actually called him a godsend! Ha! If only he knew.

She remembered how he'd talked to her about God. How she'd listened to him as well, the memory taunted her. She'd actually listened. He'd told her how de started talking to him. It was lies. All of it. They should've known he was bad. They shouldn't have let him on the school board. Couldn't they see through him?

"Joan? Joan, are you there sweetie? There's Adam and Grace down here to see you." Her mom shouted up the stairs.

"Girardi, come down, we need to talk." Her friend, Grace, shouted up.

"Alright, alright. I'm coming." She opened the door and started making her way downstairs, still with Ryan on her mind.

He was her problem now. She was the one who had to sort it. To punish him for what he did. For what he did to Judith.

OooooooooooooooO

Harry sat with his friends, all laughing and joking, enjoying the newly acquired sense of freedom. They were in the garden, so they didn't hear the radio.

New Threat!

Several killings have been reported over the course of the evening in Arcadia, America. The American Minister has informed us that the deaths are suspicious. The police force are baffled as there seems to be no weapon used. This of course would mean a magical murder but the last registered wizard within 50 miles was 400 years ago and the murderer seems to have a good knowledge of the local area. This could, of course be a coincidence but both the American and British Ministries shall be investigating the matter further. With the recent defeat of Lord Voldemort, people are obviously terrified at a possible repeat of the past decades.

The laughter from outside died down as, one by one, they retired to their warm, safe beds. Blissfully unaware of the "new threat", they slipped into happy, carefree dreams. And it would stay like that.

Until morning.

Ok, I know it was short but I wanted to get something up tonight. I'll try and make the next chapter a bit longer maybe. So what do you think so far? Let us know. And don't be lazy! REVIEW! (please)
