WhereLovers Mourn in Solitude

"I'm sorry, darling… Don't cry for me. I must do it, or I will be punished… One day I'll come back… Farewell…"

She stood in front of an iron cross in the small graveyard… Dead leaves fluttered from the rotting trees and a light mist covered the desolate woods. The girl cried, as she remembered the last words he ever said to her…

"We're sorry, miss. Completely destroyed. No body left… Sorry…"

They had killed him, although he begged for mercy. The Ministry had agreed that he was innocent, but the Aurors accidentally killed him.

"Harry, leave me alone! I never loved you! I love another, the last person you'd ever guess! I won't leave him!"

Ah, Harry… He was killed in the Final Battle, murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange just after he'd killed Voldemort… So many times he'd said he loved her… But she never did… She only stayed with him for the sake of her reputation… Still she loved another… He, whose ashes were scattered on the ground under the iron cross…

"Sweet angel, how beautiful you are… I love you… No one will ever part us…"

How gentle were the words he spoke to her on those moonlit nights they spent in the tower… How soft were his kisses… Oh, how she longed for him, how she longed to see him one more time…

"May he rest in peace. He was a proud young man, destined for great things, but he never had the chance… Such a pity the darkness took him…"

No one cried that day. No one grieved. No one cared the pain he went through, the betrayal he felt when the wands were pointed at him, the surprise on his face as he collapsed to the ground, enveloped in flames…

But she cried. She grieved. Even now, after ten miserable years he heart ached for him…

Finally she turned to leave. She pulled the black veil over her dark red hair and took one last look at the cross.

There, written in ornate letters was…

Draconis Lucius Malfoy

In Coelo Quies

For those who didn't understand, Ginny Weasley is mourning at the grave of Draco Malfoy. She never loved Harry Potter and instead loved Draco. She knew what Draco had to do (i.e. kill Dumbledore) but to keep him safe from Voldemort, never told anyone. She knew he was repentant, and before he fled with Snape, Draco promised that he'd prove to the Ministry that he only did what he did in order to be safe from Voldemort. Then the ministry actually forgave him, but didn't have time to inform the Aurors who were storming Malfoy Manor, where Draco was hiding. Just as the Minister rushes in to tell them that Draco is innocent, the Aurors kill him and accidentally burn down the place. Draco's ashes are then buried in a small village graveyard.

By the way, the title of this story comes from the title of a CD and song by the band Draconian. Fitting, don't you think?

"In Coelo Quies" means "rest in heaven" in Latin
