This story was done for my English composition. Since I loved Atobe x Saeki so much, I've decided to secretly interpret that into my story. :giggles: It was our Short Story unit and we had to describe a place…but since it seemed to be beautifully written, I've decided to share it with you all! (It's Saeki's POV…)

Disclamer: (If I really need one…since Saeki and Atobe aren't really told in this story…but since they are portrayed in it…Might as well…) The characters Saeki Kojirou and Atobe Keigo belongs to Prince of Tennis. They do NOT belong to me. That's that!

Last Walk Along This Road

Maple leaves of ginger, scarlet, and gold gently skidded across the blonde earthy road. The shriveled wheat grass was giving their best effort to expose the last of their lime green hues before it faded dull beige. I walked on that earthy road beside him, my head turning to the left and right to look at the wrinkled maple auburn trees grasping a couple of its leaves tightly to keep it from hovering away with the wind. My short bleached hair gently wavered wildly into my face, leading me to grasp onto his securing arm. The cool winds grew stronger, and then it started to die down, only becoming soft, icy breezes. Staring into the distance of the road, it seemed the end of the road was long to breach. Bright sunrays crept through the tree barks, hitting the ground and giving to it a divine shine.

As I continue to walk along this beautiful lonely road, I face to look the left, seeing fields of tall, thin golden grass. Beyond it settled a small rundown house beside a large, old faded crimson farm. Stopping in my steps, closing my eyes for a moment, I listened to the soft harmonic lullabies that the birds sang in the distance from all directions. Suddenly, I felt warm arms enveloped around my shoulders. Knowing it was him by his scent, I left my eyes unrevealed, leaning my head lightly on his chest. I wanted so much to keep and treasure this little part of heaven I was feeling.

"You're not sad, are you?" I heard his calm voice asked me.

I shook my head slightly and slowly revealed my eyes. Gazing upon his handsome face, staring into his deep, blue ocean eyes, I reached my hand up and gently stroke his soft, dark sapphire hair. Behind him, I could see the bright little stars that beamed down its celestial light, and beyond those bare tree barks, a sky so vast and blue. I thought to myself how this gorgeous road was like how our love was. On the outside, it seemed hideous and ugly, but once a few walking minuets on this very road, the place ended up looking like something mother nature had painted with the best of her skills. The thing is, our love was just like this beautiful hidden place which was also misjudged and rejected from the world. Only very few would accept it.

"Should we walk to the end of the road?" he softly spoke as he continued to smile that angelic smile I adored.

Nodding, I slipped out of his embrace and stood beside him, slipping my hand into his. Staring ahead of the road once again, the shadows of the trees had become greater than before, but, even so, we both walked on in that direction. Facing to my right, I could see the thickness of the woods, but it was still very beautiful. The slight beams of sunrays creeping through the arms of the trees gave the dark, gloomy forest a serene feeling and bright touches here and there on the autumn leaves below. As we continue to walk through this bit of heaven, I smiled sorrowfully knowing that this will be our last walk along the road. He was very ill in this lifetime and had wished to come here to take one last stroll on this road, so I made his final wish come true. And every moment of breath I took in now, I cherished these last moments I had with him that carved deep within my heart and soul; even as we walked through this sacred, elegant road we called ours…
