Meeting in the Moonlight

-------------------------

Another cold, chilly night. The autumn season had finally kicked in Konoha Village. The sun had long since he had hidden under the clouds, the full moon up high, giving a light shower of white light. It was in the forest that our favorite brooding, raven headed boy was at, sitting on the branches of one of the oldest Sycamores in the forests. It was his secret place. Or not so secret place, seeing that another person was approaching it. It was a young girl-- Her hair long and silky, in a low ponytail.

This girl was none other than the only one that had accompanied our young Uchiha Sasuke through his sad trials, and consoled him when he was in pain. This was their place. Where no one would know their secrets; where they could be themselves, no masks; No lies.

The girl jumped with ease up the branches and a branch or so away she stopped and sat, her light colored eyes gazing at the pale, sixteen year old boy. The Uchiha looked down at her and on his lips a faint smile. The girl smiled back at him, with their usual cheerfulness, and she dared jump onto his branch. She sat next to him, and looked at the direction in which he was staring at. She smiled at the full moon, and said, "It's so bright tonight, don't you think Sasuke-kun?"

The said boy looked at her pale face in awe and then looked up at the moon. He nodded and then said, "Yes... It makes you looks so beautiful, if you let me say so..."

The girl turned to him and loosened her ribbon, undoing her low ponytail, letting her silky hair fall down loose. She ran her hand through it, and said, "It does, doesn't it?"

Sasuke laughed and so did she, leaving her hair down. Her smile. Her laugh. Her face. It was all magic. She was so graceful, and witty, and beautiful. Herself compared to all the other girls he had known was a beautiful Sakura tree in spring, the other looked as bare pecan trees in summer. He smiled at her, and pulled her into a hug. The girl sunk into his hug, her face growing different shades of red, her fingers daring to play with each other again. Habits can't be broken so easily even if four years have passed. None the less she smiled and returned the warm hug, while a cold breeze caressed her face, blowing the raven head's bangs over his eyes. She smiled. He looked so cute that way, but she always laughed at it.

"Sasuke-kun, you look like a sheep dog..! Here--" The girl fixed his bangs, and the held his face, without oticing she was staring into his deep onyx eyes. But the boy brought her back to reality, by staring back at hers, and slowly bringing his face closer to hers. Their foreheads touched, and both teens smiled. Their lips so close, almost brushing with each other, but they didn't not kiss. No... Their mind was wandering in Cloud 9 thinking of everything happy in their short sixteen years of life.

But soon, they both knew they had to leave. The girl was the first to pull away, but the raven headed Uchiha held her close to himself, whispering into her ear, "Stay, Stay with me tonight."

The raven headed girl almost melted. She held him close to her petite body and whispered to him gently, almost lovingly, "Not tonight.. Wait for me... Sasuke-kun... Wait…"

"Forever… My dear Hinata-chan."
