Raines sits in the corner of his darken office breathing heavily through the help of his oxygen tank. With his clutched hand, he opens it, gently rubbing her heart-shaped silver locket which she always wore. He recalls giving it to his daughter. "Oh, daddy! I'll never take it off," she tells him. He stares at her picture and begins to cry. "Oh, my Annie. My sweet, innocent, precious child, the love of my life. I am so sorry for not protecting you. Daddy, loves you."

He knows smoking will eventually kill him. He doesn't care and inhales deeply wheezing with every breath. Tears rolling down his face, he grabs his chest as if trying to rip his heart out to stop the pain.

Even monsters cry.
