It was way into the night, Sakura and Naruto were taking a walk down to the river under the bridge. The moon had shone brightly that night. They sat down and were both thinking about things that have been happening, so there was silence for a couple of minutes.
" Hey Sakura, why do you like Sasuke?" Naruto asked calmly.
'Why do I like Sasuke?' Sakura thought
At first, Sakura didn't answer but then took a deep breathe and said, " You know, I don't really know why I do. I think it was just because I thought he was cute like every other girl in Konoha."
For a while now, Sakura and Naruto have been having little talks at night. They talk about anything from their friends, Konoha, their life, but the main reason was because of Sasuke. Every since he came back, after killing Itachi, he was darker and was quieter. They both did not really ever to try to talk to him about because they knew he would just tell them to go away. Nobody else tried either.
" Sakura do you think you could try and talk to him about what happened?" He asked, " you're one of the only people that really care about him."
Naruto didn't think that he would be able to get Sasuke to talk. As much as they were friends, they always fought each other, just to see who was stronger. He also thought that he wasn't the best person to talk to Sasuke.
" I guess, I should." Sakura said hesitantly. Then, Naruto suddenly turned his head.
" Did you hear something Sakura?" Naruto whispered. Sakura nodded. She started to perform seals on with her hands and Naruto was ready to attack. When somebody came out of the bushes, they both lunged forward and Sakura pinned the attacker down to the ground.
" Sakura, the main character in Make-Out Paradise was in this same position," the stranger said and it was none other than their Kakashi-sensei.
" Can't you ever stop thinking about that book," Sakura asked as she got off of him. " Yeah, Kakashi sensei," Naruto added.
" No, it's a much interesting book," he answered. " Don't you mean disturbing?" they both said, " and you're late AGAIN!"
Kakashi joined their conversations from time to time, if he wasn't on a mission. This was the first time though that he decided to come in like that.
" You guys are getting better. You both worked together as a team," was all Kakashi said.
At this both Naruto and Sakura, just looked down on the ground sadly. The mention on the word team made them like this. They stopped being Team 7 ever since Sasuke left and they don't think that it will come back again ever.
'How did we all end up like this,' Naruto thought.
" Well I think I better go home now," Sakura announced. She was the one most affected by what just happened and didn't really want to show that to Naruto and Kakashi-sensei. Down the street, she went slowly until the darkness had shown her no longer.
" We both should keep an eye on her." Kakashi said. At this Naruto nodded and started to walk home too.
