"It would be no good, Garret! I wouldn't work."
"But… Renee," said Garret, once more trying to convince her. "Think about the possibilities, we-."
Renee shocked her head.
"No, Garret."
He sighed. He had no idea what happened to Renee. Last night, everything seemed so clear. Renee was thrilled with the idea. But today…
"Please tell me why, Renee."
"It will not work, Garret. Please understand," Renee told him, gently.
Garret looked at the dark blond woman, shrugging.
"I'm sorry," he said, "but you heard what the DA said. Your training can't be upgraded to the PD work, Dr. Maguire."
