It was a dreary day on Sectasut Lane, the kind of day to just sit around the house and do nothing. That's exactly what Draco Malfoy was doing Malfoy was pale, had sleek blonde hair, was a wizard, like all his neighbors,and preferred others to call him Malfoy . He sat by his bedroom window, many thoughts racing through his mind. You see, Draco wanted to teach at his school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after he finished school, Draco was a seventh year at school, but his dad got in the way of that wish. Dad wanted him to take over for him as leader of Dratabrats Inc. and was pushing him to do so, but he had other things on his mind... Alanna... she was cute, smart and willing to compromise, she had dirty blonde hair, was an average weight and and best of all for him... she was his potions partner. Plus, mom and dad won't give him the family fortune until he was married. One problem... Dad wants a pureblood that marries of her own will, and Alanna, well... no one knew what she was... as soon as she was born... she was abandoned... no name, or parent's names on the birth certificate. She named herself and lived on the streets. Now she lived with Arthur and Molly Weasly , her foster parents. And to add to his doubt that dad would approve... dad hated them. So in Madame Malkins shop, he asked her for her advice.
Madame Malkin, a bit taken aback by the question, said to introduce them to each other, show dad what she's like and tell her on the spot that he liked her. Malfoy thanked her and paid her. When she tried to give him his change he told her to keep it. In Diagon Alley, he found Ron and asked him where Alanna was. He had to tell her something and quick. Ron hesitated and then told him to check Eeylops for her. She was there but Harry got to her first and she left with him. His reputation with all the other houses was disgusting once he thought about it. It had been for a while, and had just changed a few years ago when he saved Alanna at Hogsmeade. They had been on a ingredient search and were told to check at Hogsmeade. They were at the Hogshead and were headed back out with their ingredients, and a drunk idiot started attacking her and calling her a ho. The guy wouldn't stop and was about to really harm Alanna when Malfoy stepped in and grabbed his arms as he got ready to punch her.
"Haven't you any manners boy?" asked a man at the bar, "You don't stop fights a superior starts!"
"Sorry, I guess you don't recognize me from the back." Malfoy turned around and the man dropped his mug. "What's wrong are you scared?"Malfoy sneered, "Is it wrong to protect a fellow student?"
The man, frightened, shook his head and began to clean up the broken mug.
Malfoy started to try to get her up but couldn't. Why won't she get up? he wondered. then he realized that she was unconscious. "Don't just sit there help me out!" he shouted. A man that had come in in the middle of the fight didn't need to be told twice. This was the son of Lucius Malfoy we were talking about. He rushed over and picked her up. "I was gonna get a drink but..." he trailed off looking at Alanna. Suddenly he felt queasy. Those eyes, that face, I know them... But from where?
