I don't own Hellsing, and I don't make a dime on this fic! On with the show:

She stood by the window leaning on the ledge and looking out. Her bright, blue eyes were unfocused as she gazed over her vast grounds and patrolling soldiers. She thought back to the battle. Though many men died and it is her duty to see them to their final resting ground, painful as it is, she enjoyed the war. Dear God, was it wrong of her to think this way? Has humanity left her without even succumbing to vampirism?

Integra thoroughly enjoyed watching her enemies destroyed by her hand through Alucard. Yes, Alucard was the only one who could give her such pleasure. A pleasure beyond what any other man could give her: the pleasure of watching her enemies dead before her. Her hands gripped the window ledge as she thought about him.

Alucard materialized behind his master. "Your bidding, my master." She quickly turned and faced him. Her blonde hair spun wildly behind her as her eyes rested on his. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she did not notice him enter as she usually does. His blood-red eyes reflected the moon behind her and herself. She looked at herself through his eyes and realized what she has become. A vampire in everything but name. Her bloodlust was not a requirement for living but instead one that proved her power and might. Something her father told her long ago that this was the reason a vampire is one of the most dreadful monsters there are. And yet, she didn't regret this, knowing that instead of serving herself, she served God and the Queen.

Alucard, hearing her thoughts, smirked. He felt smugness at the thought of van Hellsing turning in his grave at these thoughts. He looked at her fragile frame and longed for the blood pulsing beneath it. He longed to place his fangs on her neck and gently bring her to ecstasy as he creates a true No Life Queen beside him.

"Yes, Alucard, there is a mission that I would like you to attend to." Her brisk tone instantly broke his revere and he silently mused how beautiful she looked against the summer moonlight with no unnatural light distorting her soft, feminine features. Features that she hides in order to maintain her supremacy without the usual sexism. "There have been recent attacks in the south, near Brighton. A popular beach resort not only for our countrymen but for tourists as well. Something like this means of course, a surgical strike. Therefore, I will be employing your talents to this delicate job."

"Of course my master. I will depart immediately. Would you like to join me Miss Director? Would you like to see our enemies vanquished as I deliver them to Death's unyielding grasp? As they plead for my mercy as I show them that a true vampire lacks it?" His voice held a hint of a leer, as he knew that if she could leave with him, she would. She would gladly stand by his side and fight their enemies together and have their bliss grow in a frenzied passion, as they would see their hand tear down their foes.

Instead his question was replied with: "get out of here you insolent git and do the task I assigned you! Search and destroy and report back to me as soon as your mission is complete!" She slammed her hand against the desk for emphasis upon her final words.

"As you wish my master." He smirked and materialized out of view. No, she is still human yet, he thought.
