Pride
"There's a certain level
where self-esteem becomes
Conceit, smugness, and vanity."
That's what I've always been told.
But do I really care what they think?
Are they really of any importance,
Compared to me?
I'm perfectly happy with who I am.
I'm comfortable in my superiority.
Because I'm so much more important
Than another's view of me.
Because no matter what they think
About who I am, and who I should be
I will always have one thing
That they cannot take away.
I will always have my Pride.
