All my life
I have lived in the shadows
Never feeling compassion
Or warmth
From anyone
I don't know anything
Other than the darkness
I can't see the light
That once graced my heart
But only the pain
And sadness
Left behind
Is this it?
I am forced to keep
Living in the shadows
Or will light
One day return
