Chapter 2
He's back
Lorelai walked into the kitchen. Coffee she thought. After her coffee was made her way upstairs, got dressed, put her makeup on, brushed her teeth, and did all that good stuff.
Lorelai came down the stairs in a red shirt with a v cut neck and sleeves that came just below her elbows. She wore dark blue jeans with black boots. Lorelai grabbed her purse and was out the door headed to Luke's.
Luke looked up as he heard the usual groan of coffee. Of course it was Lorelai. Stunning at usual he thought. Lorelai came over and sat at the counter where Luke was standing.
"Coffee…" she groaned as she plopped down on the stool.
"Here you go," Luke said as he handed her a hot cup of coffee.
"Oh Luke you're my hero. What would I ever do with out you," she said in her sarcastic voice. In just that moment someone came down Luke's stairs from his apartment. Lorelai looked at him and then looked back at Luke with a concerned look. He glanced toward Lorelai then looked at Luke and announced that he was going for a walk. He swong the door shut behind him. Lorelai sat there stunned for a moment without taking a sip of her coffee. She finally looked up at Luke and said, "Wow, how come you didn't tell me Jess was back?"
"He just got here last night and said he needed a place to sleep," Luke responded.
"Wow," Lorelai sighed. "How long is he here for?"
"Not sure, he didn't tell me. I'm guessing not too long."
"I'm hopping not. Rory is coming home this weekend."
"Oh I'm sure he'll be gone by then, and if he is not I'll tell him he has to go."
"You don't have to go that, Luke. Rory is a big girl, she can handle it." Lorelai said and sipped her coffee.
