Chapter 2'Scarlett with another man? I thoughtshe was really in love with me! How long did she wait' Rhett was mad! But he keep cool (as usual) " what do you mean Scarlett ? She's yours! Who's the da-dad?" He wasn't sure he wanted to know now
" Well umm you-you are! Rhett you're not taking her away from me she's mine!" Scarlett said out of stunness ' I'll keep Cat no matter what he does!' Just to prove her point she gave Cat a hug. For once Cat stood still in the embrace.
Rhett now no longer stunned started to talk with some surprise in his voice "Me! She's mine! Scarlett one day I'll kill you for not telling me!" he added a chuckle to show he was only joking. Cat apparently didn't get for she said, " you not touch my mommy! Or –or I'll hurt you!" Rhett threw back his head and laughed! " No I'm not 'twas only a joke, Darling Cat." Well that settled Cat who knew he was only joking now. She then turned to Scarlett and asked, " Can he come riding with us? Please mommy!" the pleading in her eyes were enough to make Scarlett cry, "Sure honey, but you may want to ask him first! Then let's go outside." At this Scarlett looked from Cat to Rhett.
When Rhett saw the sadness in Scarlett's eyes he knew he'd give in. So aloud he said, "I'll come, my pet, go along and get ready Cat!" to himself ' What am I doing here Anne is waiting for me with a child on the way! She needs me not Scarlett! But now I can't leave since I know about Cat.' When Cat was out of earshot He asked, "Why didn't you tell me? You should of!" Scarlett knew she would have to tell him the truth " well the truth is that well I wanted us to be like Bonnie and you, so later I-I-I- could hurt you when you met her. And the second reason was that you married Anne and you still are!" As Scarlett thought and said this she got a disgusted face Rhett with another woman! Scarlett just couldn't imaging that. Rhett seemed satisfied with that answer, so they went to get on the horses. When they were getting on, Rhett waited till Scarlett was getting on then he turned around to get on the dapple gray horse he would ride. As he did he saw Scarlett fall! " Scarlet!" He was worried! Scarlett had fallen after fainting!
