Upon arriving home late one night, Reed Richards was greeted by a cold glare from his fiancé. He attempted to smile at her and discovered that his powers of flexibility were necessary to achieve the desired expression.
"You're back late."
"I said I would be." Silence.
He nervously forced a grin and attempted to lighten the mood.
"What?" he asked in the most jovial tone he could manage. "Is there lipstick on my collar?" He made a brushing motion as if trying to wipe off the incriminating substance. Ashes fell lazily to the ground.
"No," Sue replied sourly. "Burn marks."
