Marshmallow Krispie Bars
1 boxed brownie mix (makes in a 13x9 pan)
1 bag mini mallows
1 ½ cups Semi-sweet Choco Chips (it's almost the whole bag)
1 cup Peatnut Butter (don't use a generic brand)
1 tablespoon butter/margarine
1 ½ cups rice crispies
Make brownies according to box.
When the brownies are done, sprinkle the marshmallows across the top of the brownies. Make sure that the whole pan is covered. Bake for 3 mins. When this is done you need to let them cool for a little bit.
This next step works best on the stove, but my mom uses the microwave. Be sure that if you use the microwave you use microwave safe stuff and a big enough bowl to mix the remaining ingredients.
Mix in a sauce pan the butter, choco chips and peanut butter. Stir until everything is melted. (You want to stir constantly cause it does burn.) When everything is melted add in the rice crispies. Mix them in well. If you used the microwave make sure everything is melted and when you pull the bowl out you can mix the crispies in w/o having to put them back in the microwave.
If the marshmallows are cool enough (now I've never quite figured out when that is, but they can't still be really warm, because the choco mix melts right thru.) Spread the choco mix on top of the marshmallows.
The recipe says to refrigerate to cool and cut…but if you don't mind the mess and like warm bars…give the choco a couple of mins to cool and cut right in…that's the best
