When it relates to his power, all Bruno begins to see is the pain and devastation that comes with it. At every turn all he seems to do is hurt and torment those he cares for. It begins with the wedding, only spiraling from there- the distance between him and the rest of the Encanto broadening with each additional mistake. The day of Mirabel's gift ceremony, it all becomes too much.

Camilo and Dolores decide to have a contest to see who can climb the furthest into Bruno's tower. Luisa and Isabela insist on being included, Antonio blackmails his way into the game, and Mirabel is really just along for the ride. It takes them all a bit too long to realize this is a tremendously stupid idea.

Mirabel and Julieta wake up one morning to realize that they've switched bodies. Things just get weirder from there.

Sequel to After the House Fell. Mirabel is the bearer of the Miracle and finally has a Gift. Abuela believes Mirabel has special responsibilities. Meanwhile, Julieta trains Dolores as her successor, Bruno needs to prove his new Gift won't backfire, and Luisa feels unneeded. A new foundation means systemic changes for the dysfunctional Madrigals: learning to be true to themselves.

After being confronted by Pepa after the Crack Incident, Mirabel is left with a life-altering injury. As she slips further and further away from her family because of it, can they catch her before she slips too far? Based on my one shot The Crash of Thunder.

10-year-old Mirabel could no longer stand being pushed aside in her family and ends up finding Bruno in the walls. When the events of the movie begin to play out, the pair work to unravel the mystery of the miracle and save the family. (Now with an ACTUAL title!)

We all love "Encanto". That's no surprise. Though, I bet we've all wondered how different the story could get. If one event didn't happen, if one character made a different decision, or if the laws of reality itself weren't the same. Well...fortunately for us, the multiverse is a vast creature of endless stories and possibilities.

The Madrigals revive an old game from the triplets' childhood and begin gathering at midnight to share made-up stories based on existing tales. Each character has a preferred genre and unique narrative style that's influenced by their personality and/or gift. Further character development is woven through their stories as they unintentionally bring up baggage from the past.

I've found myself writing a lot of Encanto ficlets of late - so guess I'll plunk them in here. Random ficlets will be showing up all month. There's a Tumblr event going on #Encantober - tomorrow's prompt is strength. Since I tend to write this stuff too close to bed time - there are likely to be grammar issues. Cannot be helped.
