A.N. Sorry for the long wait. I had to get UT 2K4 back from my friend after I reformatted my comp. There will be another long wait due to the fact I have almost no free time.
Chapter 1: War Crimes
"Ducard get your ass in gear! We don't have all day ya' know." Sergeant Ben Jacobs shouted at the young private. Ever since the "incident" the private's icy blue eyes had seen to become colder. The Sarge shrugged it off. No one can stay a kid forever. He would later regret that decision.Private Xander Ducard had led a normal life. With short dark hair and pale skin people occasionally mistook him for a Necris from a distance. A fact he had used to make people leave him alone by not letting any "human" look him in the eyes. Any self respecting Necris did the same thing.
Xander had decided to become a soldier simply because he didn't know what he really wanted to do. It was shown he had a knack for it. He specialized in using the Schultz-Metzger T23-A 23mm rotary cannon, commonly called the minigun, and the Trident Tri-barrel Rocket Launcher. He was praised by his superiors and was expected to get a promotion to Private First Class after the completion of his assignment with Jacobs.
Then the "incident" happened, a raid on a small village. Jacobs' squad of soldiers burned pillaged and raped. Seeing people he talked to, ate with, bled with, and would die for doing such terrible things to innocent people tore Xander up inside. He believed that they had not deserved that fate for simply choosing to live in that area. One week later He could stand it no more. Xander picked up his minigun, stocked up on ammo turned to the nearest soldier and began firing.
Xander believed it was fitting that the last man he killed that day was the one who ordered the massacre. A man named Ben Jacobs. Unfortunately for Xander the whole thing was con on a surveillance tape designed to inform the higher ups just what their grunts were doing.
Because of the choice he made, Xander Ducard is going to the thirteenth Unreal Tournament. There at the great Gladiatorial Games his fate will be decided.
