What If You Could See Me?
(A/N okay, here's another poem... just to let you all know, I am going to update my other fics... but here's a poem i wrote that was origonally a homework assignment to hold you off for a bit... i was re reading it, and i thought, maybe this could be from hermiones pov... like, about her and ron as teens and then how they grow apart. i hope you like it! lol please review)
What if you could see me
As no one else does?
The quiet, young, and frail girl
That you believed I was
Small days of lemonade
And basking in the sun
Quiet walks down to the Church
The two of us were one
What if you could see me
As a teen whose body's numb?
Lost in the crowd of right and wrong
I'm deciding who I'll become
My puppy love is not unrequited
I can see it in your eyes
The looks we shared, the notes we passed
It was "I love you" in disguise
What if you could see me
On my wedding day?
Still that frail, gentle girl
With whom you used to play
Clammy hands and weak knees
Taking over me
Flashbacks of you being there
And how we used to be
What if you could see me
With my groom and kids?
The soccer mom that I've become
The rules by which I live
Everyday's a busy day
Every moment of my life
Revolves around my family
I'm a mother and a wife
What if you could see me
As this lonely, divorced girl?
I've lost my love and the custody
Of the kids I called my world
No rent to pay, no mess to clean
I find I'm all alone
No shoulders left onto which I cry
Not one except my own
Summers come and summers go
As summers often do
And it seems I'm finding answers
That you already knew
What if you could see me
With no life, no sin?
And there you are, awaiting me
As you had always been
(A/N yay! how did you like it? review!)
