Johnny C. sat on his couch as the digital numbers on the clock read 2:03am. He rested his elbow on the arm rest and propted his head up. His eyes remained focused on one paticular spot of blood which was smudged on the wall. It seemed to fascinate him as he found nothing else of interest to stare at at the time. He closed his eyes but opened them after a breef moment. It almost hurt to shut his eyes now. He couldn't remember the last time he did. I'm having trouble trieing to sleep. I'm counting sheep but running out. As time ticks by. And still I try. No rest for crosstops in my mind. On my own here we go. He glared over at the boarded window. The dark sky was lit with less stars than usual. The screaming from downstairs seemed to have ceased finally. He kept hearing a faint ticking noise in his head. It continued to repeat itself. He leaned back and tried to enjoy the silence, maybe even sleep for once. He just couldn't get use to it. My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed. Dried up and bulging out my skull. My mouth is dry. My face is numb. Fucked up and spun out in my room. On my own here we go. The repetative ticking in his head seemed to get louder and louder by every second. Nny couldn't remember the last time he ever slept but it was evident he needed it. Lack of sleep can make you delusional. He began to look away from the boarded window but took a double take when he thought he saw some purple gremlin grinning at him. He raised an eyebrow and looked in that direction for quite some time before looking away. My mind is set on overdrive. The clock is laughing in my face. A crooked spine. My sense's dulled. Passed the point of delerium. On my own here we go. The walls even seemed to be moving towards him. The ticking in his head soon turned into laughter. He glanced at the floor to see little orange men running to his boot. He stood up quickly, looking at them in horror. They smiled at him and climbed onto the couch. He backed away and bumped into the clock which now had an insane expression. Perhaps he'd fallen asleep after all? He backed away from it. "What...the fuck!" My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed. Dried up and bulging out my skull. My mouth is dry. My face is numb. Fucked up and spun out in my room. On my own here we go. It seemed like little creatures were running around in every direction now. Really fucked up looking ones. They all made horrid noises and mocked him. He backed into a wall and slowly slid down it."Out...GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"A jack in the box was climbing on the celeing. The clock grew hands and started crawling to him. He shut his eyes and waited for it to all stop. Pieces of ham danced around him and started eating one another. Suddenly the doughboy caused it all to cease. "Johnny...Did you ever find out how many bouls of white corn it takes to build a hamburger castle?" He opened his eyes and was releaved that everything had dissapeared. "No...Um..What was I doing?...Oh yeah!" He got up and took off downstairs, as if nothing had ever even happened.
