Disclaimer: The entire Cardcaptor Sakura franchise is owned by CLAMP. Yeah, too bad, isn't it?
Notes: This is a multi-person point of view piece, meaning that it can be seen as the perspective of more than one character. I've always wanted to write one, so here it is, edited for your convenience.
Always You
Always you.
Wherever I go, whatever I do, that's who I think about.
Always you.
Everything I see reminds me of only one person.
Always you.
I miss you so much…as I walk through the streets of Tomoeda, I try to imagine you beside me, walking with me, perhaps holding my hand. You were the light in my life, the only reason I haven't packed up and left Tomoeda, the place where so many things happened. Something precious keeps me here.
Always you.
I remember the day I told you I loved you. It was an autumn day, the sakura trees were making a carpet of cherry blossom petals at our feet. You looked so beautiful, so happy, when I told you. I have to admit that I was a nervous wreck when I said that. But that smile on your face drove nervousness away, and replaced it with happiness. Only one person can really make me happy.
Always you.
I'm at home right now, tending to your favorite flower in my backyard. Its fragrance, gentle and soft, reminds me so much of you. I remember the day we married. You held a single flower. And the way you looked! You were smiling. You were the happiest I had ever seen you, but you told me that the single reason for your radiant smile was my love. Me. You always had a knack of making me feel special. But you were the truly special one…
Always you.
I'm at the cemetery now, standing before your grave. I brought you your favorite flowers. I kneel in front of your grave, place the flowers on the grass, and pray that you can hear me. That you can hear me saying I love you to you every day. Because, as long as I live, and even after I die, my heart will belong to one person.
Always you.
