Pairings/Spoilers: The Doctor(9)/Rose
Disclaimer: Unfortunately Doctor Who et al belongs to the BBC and not me. 'Shut Up/Kiss Me' belongs to the wonderful artistic mind of Paul McDermott and once more not me. A girl can dream though...can't she?
I was caught by your smile under a blushing moon,
You were the only one left there.
Words poured like wine over an open wound,
You were the only one left there.
With sky-borne blue-grey eyes,
Sky-borne blue-grey eyes.
Rose and the Doctor stood together on a stretch of beach, the 2 moons of the planet casting a silvery sheen on the water infront of them. Her hand gently incased by the Doctor's much larger one. They stood wordlessly, Rose looking up into the Doctor's eyes. No words had passed between the pair since arriving at the beach. There wasn't any need.
Pale light falls over a broken bed,
You were the only one left there.
Cold hands in mine, lips bruised and black,
You were the only one left there.
With sky-borne blue-grey eyes,
Sky-borne blue grey eyes.
Once again the pair had almost lost each other. It was different this time, the Doctor had seriously thought that he wouldn't be able to reach Rose before the xenophobic Anapthians executed her. The pain that he felt in his chest had been almost unbarable at the thought that Rose might suddenly be taken from him before he could tell her those three simple words that all people, regardless of species, found difficult to say.
Shut up and kiss me now, kiss me now, kiss me,
I have been patient but patience is gone.
Shut up and kiss me now, kiss me now, kiss me,
All of my vision has blurred into one.
Just Shut up, just shut up, just shut up and kiss me now.
It had come as a shock when he discovered his feelings for his companion were no longer purely platonic. Especially because he never thought he'd feel a positive emotion like 'love' again. Not after the Time Wars. The Doctor smiled as he brushed a few stray strands of hair out of Rose's face and wondered what made Rose special. He'd never felt this way with his other companions; Tegan, Sarah, Jo or the others.
The cool of the night fell on us like a ghost,
You were the only one left there.
I wept as a child, wept for the life I'd lost,
You were the only one left there.
With sky-borne blue-grey eyes,
Sky-borne blue-grey eyes,
Sky-borne blue-grey eyes,
Sky borne blue-grey eyes.
With his hand still at the back of Rose's head, he lowered his own and kissed her on the lips. At the touch of his lips against her own, Rose's arms snaked their way upwards and around the Doctor's neck as she smiled into the kiss, his own reaching around his companion, pulling her closer to him. Rose's eyes involuntarily closed as she parted her lips allowing the Doctor to deepen their kiss.
Shut up and kiss me now, kiss me now, kiss me,
I have been patient but patience is gone.
Shut up and kiss me now, kiss me now, kiss me,
All of my vision has blurred into one.
Just Shut up, just shut up, just shut up and kiss me,
Just Shut up, just shut up, just shut up and kiss me,
Just Shut up, just shut up, just shut up and kiss me now.
The Doctor slowly broke the kiss. "I love you Rose Tyler," a wide grin was plastered over his face. He may not have thought he'd fall in love but he was glad he had.
