Growing Old – The Girls
As they grew older rivalry became a forgotten notion. They had worked together on missions. They matured, they fell in love (not with each other), and they raised families.
They were in their sixties and sitting comfortably at the kitchen table eating cookies made by their grandchildren.
They realized they were old and yet they were still standing. They were still alive. Ino had outlived Shikamaru and two of her children. Sakura had buried Lee, Sasuke, Naruto, three children, and one grandchild.
This was the end of their lives, but they were spending it together. Friends again, until the end.
