Naruto and Sasuke will always be friends. You can read shonen ai at the end if you want to. But I wasn't intending it.

Growing Old – The Boys

As they grew older rivalry became a forgotten notion. Both worked together to help achieve their goals. Naruto became the Rokudaime. Sasuke killed Itachi, married a nice girl and resurrected the Uchiha clan.

In the end Sasuke's wife died, Naruto never married, Sakura died on a mission, Kakashi got careless when he rejoined the Anbu, and Iruka just got old. They were alone in the end with no one but each other.

Just like when they were kids.

They didn't waste time fighting, they both retired, they moved in together, and they were happy being cranky old bastards scaring genin.
