The Guardians: Chapter 1
Kagome watched as her friends were slain one by one until it was just her and Sango. Winning seemed impossible. Kagome shot a sacred arrow at the same time Sango threw her giant bone boomarang. Narraku had been weakened by the others, and now killed by the only two survivors.
After healing their wounds, they buried the dead. After that, they purified the Sacred Jeweland set off towards the Bone Eaters Well. Kagome could no longer stay on this side of the Well. Seeing as Sango had no where else togo, Kagome invited her along.
Once on the other side, Kagome and Sango climbed out of the Bone Eaters Well and walked up to the house/ shrine. "Moma, i'm home," Kagome called from the front door.
"I'm in the kitchen dear," Mrs. Higurashi called. Kagome walked into the kitchen, quickly followed be her sister-like friend. "Kagome, why don't you introduce me to your friend?"
"Sango, this is my mom, Rumiko Higurashi. Moma this is Sango, my friendthe Demon Slayer," Kagome introduced. "Moma, the battle's over, Sango and I are the only survivors."
"But what of your dog eared friend," Rumiko asked?
"He's dead," Kagome said, suprisingly calm. "Mom, can Sango live with us?"
"Actually, I made plans for you to live with your grandmother," Rumikosaid.
"Why," Kagome asked?
"Since you haven't been to school in a while, I figured it would be best for you todrop out and start your training after youwere done gallivanting all over the Fuedal Era," Rumiko explained.
"What training, and what does it have to do with granma," Kagome asked?
"She will explain every thing," Rumiko said. "Now, you need to go and get every thing packed while me and Sango go shopping."
"Whatever," Kagome replied as she left the kitchen and headed up the stairs to her bedroom.
