Bad Dreams
Some peoples "bad dreams" consist of embarrassing the hell out of the dreamer. Other's are like a cheesy horror film where you just can't run fast enough. But the worst kind of bad dream is those of actual events coming back to you in your sleep. "Dang, as if it wasn't bad enough the first time."
"big… Big… NO ANI!" Duo jumped to a sitting position as Heero lightly shook him from his sleep. Duo was sweating and bundled up in his own sheets. The room was quiet aside from both boys breathing. There was a small breeze drifting in through the open window which sent the keratins lightly swirling out to the sides. The moon was full and cast its light across the now empty pillow at the top of Duo's bed. Both boys just sat staring at each other for some time. That is till Duo broke the silence "He… Heero? What's up man I as sleeping.! Was there something you needed help with?" Duos voice was loud and drowsy he asked this question with a serious face. Heero blinked a few times still shocked at how no matter what kind of dream Duo was having he still never really seemed to remember it after he woke up. Over the years Heero has learned to deal with his absent minded friend and because of the way they live he has never pried into the others life. Duo was now giving an odd look and started waking up more. "You were having a bad dream." Heero's monotone voice spoke quietly in way of explanation. Duo understood for this wasn't the first time he had been woken up for this reason. He shrugged and gave an apologetic look at his friend then stated "well thanks He-kun. Sorry I woke you." Heero merely nodded and left duo's side to crawl back in to his own bed across the room. Duo lay back down and rolled away from facing Heero and curled up into a ball. Then he noticed the other 3 pair's of eyes watching from the door way. He blushed "Umm… sorry to wake you all I'm ok. It was just a bad dream… evidently." He gave a sheepish grin and the eyes vanished in to the surrounding darkness.
Morning came and along with it was a visit from sally. Both Heero and Wu worked for Preventors and had made the call to her after discussing and deciding that something had to be done in order to get some sanity and sleep around the small safe house. Duo came shuffling into the kitchen and greeting every one. It was normal for him to be the last one awake and thus for ready. He poured his usual cup of milk (the coffee being off limits for him) and sat down to his bowl of lucky charms. About halfway through his yummy cereal is when he noticed every ones stares directed at him. This prompted the full mouth to ask "Waz up guys?" he finished eating while listening to the explanation form Quatre.
