"Why should I Kagome?" Inuyasha snapped.
"Because…"Kagome drifted off.
"Hmph," Inuyasha grunted.
"You just don't understand!" Kagome said as she ran off.
Why were they talking about this anyway? It's not like Inuyasha would suddenly open up to Kagome and pour all of his feelings out after all that happened to him. After being tormented as a child by anyone and everyone. After years of being alone, finally finding someone, then having them betray you. It just wasn't going to happen.
With Kagome
She ran. She didn't care where she was going. She just ran. Didn't he care about her? All she wanted to know was how he felt about her because he was really bugging her lately. She was somewhere in the forest near the village. She could always find her way back. Why did she think he'd open up to her anyway? It's not like he liked her all that much. She laughed at all the times he got mad at her.
"Why, Inuyasha? Why don't you like me?" She yelled at the forest.
Suddenly, an arm appeared over her shoulder with Inuyasha to one side of her.
"I do like you, Kagome, but that doesn't mean that I'll show you everything," Inuyasha whispered.
"Then why have you been extra mean to me lately?" Kagome choked out.
"It's just," Inuyasha started, bangs covering his eyes, "whenever I feel close to losing someone, I get really hard on them. Guess it just drives them away, huh?"
"Inuyasha…"
"It's all right, Kagome, it's my fault. I'm sorry," Inuyasha said as he started to get up.
"No, Inuyasha, it's not your fault. It's my fault for not noticing. But remember, you're not going to lose me." Kagome said.
A small smile appeared on Inuyasha's face as they walked back.
