For all the Loyal Trio, especially Read300300!

There used to be a story that you would tell around the campfire. Late at night, when all your friends were tired, (but not so much that they couldn't stay up a little while) you would tell them a story.

It didn't have to be a thought-provoking story, one about heroes and brave deeds, and all of that nonsense. They never wanted to hear anything about that because they live it every day.

You don't like hearing those stories either. You've seen it all too much. You don't even think about them all that much.

You've all seen too much.

So you tell the stories, and they listen, and you hope it's enough.

Because Teal'c is now the one carrying everyone's dreams in his heart, and Jack is going insane while everyone watches and wonder when he will break, and Sam just sits around and cries because she can't do anything.

You wonder why she isn't fighting like you are. Fighting for your precious teammates. Fighting to keep everyone together when the rest of them keep on trying to split apart.

You followed Jack once, followed him and reasoned with him, and got through to him, and you convinced him to put the gun away.

Sam had the chance but she didn't do anything. She just got out of the way and went to her lab to cry.

But you can't really blame her. You know that Jack was falling, was falling off the knife's edge he's been walking ever since he met you. You, Daniel.

You knew he was falling, all three of you. But you were selfish and did not care. Did not see what was really happening. Did not see he needed you to save him until it was too late.

Jack has fallen now and none of you are sure if he can get back up.

So you tell the stories. You hope it helps.
