The creatures of Grim lack a soul, they are the manifestation of all darkness. They do not learn, and they lack any form of mercy. Though what happens when a monster stops behaving like a monster? What happens when a grim becomes so much more?(Not the best summary, but do give it a chance.)

A mistake during a mission puts Jaune in the medical wing.

It was originally just a minor setback, that quickly spiraled into a major one. Weiss reflected as she stared up at the elaborate flag of the White Fang that looked like a wolf's head with a splatter of blood over it. (Partner AU). Weiss Schnee, the 'Ice Queen' as most people called her, came to Beacon Academy for many reasons. Not even Weiss herself could have seen what was to come from attending Beacon, meeting Ruby, and how it would impact her life forever. What began as a rocky relationship filled with malice and content, it became molded into a brittle friendship, and then sculpted into a beautiful love.

At critical points in our lives, where we waver between paths to follow to the future, it is random encounters which can end up defining us. They can set us on a better path to light...or to darkness. This is something that Blake knows all too well.
