Sinister thought he had killed her. He thought he had killed five mutants that night, but the truth was he only killed three. Her name was Sarah Rushman but she preferred the name Marrow, she had beautiful whipped back pink hair and at the time she was wearing her white school shirt and her tartan pink dress. She also was carrying some books as this occurred straight after school one Friday night as Sarah was walking home. She was one of the mutants visited by the threatening Sinister as a sacrifice to 'Lord' Apocalypse.

"Hey little g…g…girlie, why would you wana' hide your real face? Nice to meet the real you but I don't wana' see your outsides as much as I wana' see what's inside ya'." Sinister called menacingly.

As if in a trance, Marrow dropped her school books before she wandered over to a wall, Sinister was pointing at, with her eyes shut tight.

She could hear his heavy breathing as although he was a dirty rat, Sinister still had a conscience and, without thinking, she used her mutant ability and turned her body to a bonelike structure at the last minute. BANG! The gun fired and she felt it pierce her skin she turned her body back to it's human form. She wailed and cried as if it actually hurt her to make him believe this was really killing Marrow, she was a lot smarter than her pink hair made people think she was. Sinister presumed that his first opponent was dead so he spoke slightly less hesitantly than he had when he met the girl.

"N…now for my next not-so-innocent child. L…Lord Apocalypse will be most p…pleased." He remarked. Sinister, shakily, walked back out of the cold, damp and darkening alleyway. She opened her eyes just enough to see him walking down the road, Marrow then rose up and held onto her wound while searching for someone to help her. She dropped her bony appearance and looked human so she could find someone who would be willing to help her. A passerby noticed her bleeding and rushed Marrow to the nearest shop for some bandages, she didn't know what would have happened if Sinister hadn't wanted to see her female body to it's mutated form.

Evoloution is a key stage in mutant development so when Sinister was next going to meet Marrow, they would have both evolved much further than expected.

Sorry to end the story there but I will have to read Ultimate X-men #65 before I can continue so hold on tight Mighty Marvel fans for the page shattering chapter two of 'You missed me.'
