STB: Small Town Boys
Episode 2
It is late at night. I was invited over to the Emerson's house for dinner. I walk up, and knock at the door. It is opened by a boy, about Sam's age dressed in complete camouflage.
"Uh, hi, I'm Ashley Malls? I was invited over for dinner tonight."
"Yes, I know."
"Um, ok, well can I please come in?"
"Yes, you may."
"Thank You." He was formal, yet fierce. I laughed quietly to myself.
He showed me to the living room, where Sam, Michael, a girl I don't know, and another boy in camouflage were waiting. I sat down next to Sam.
"Hi Ashley" Sam said cheerfully.
"Hello Sammy" I replied. We had met each other a couple of days ago, and he has been my best friend, out of pity. For my mom had told me to get a life, and had left me here in this strange town. So now I was renting out a lodge quite close to the beach. It was small, but it would do for now.
"Ashley, I would like for you to meet my new girlfriend, Star." Michael nodded his head towards a breathtaking girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Nice to meet you"
Yes, nice to meet her to, NOT. I hate girls like her. They always turn out to be such snobs.
We continued small talk until a death defying roar started getting closer to the house. Sam ducked behind the couch, and I followed. I grabbed the boys, who I had found out were brothers, named Edgar and Allen frog, behind the couch with us. Michael ran up to the window to see what was coming, though he already knew who it was.
Star ran to the door and stood, listening. The roars died down, then the only sound was the crunching of feet on the driveway, and our heartbeats racing. There came a knock. 2. 3. 4 knocks. Star opened the door as Michael pulled her behind him.
It was the boys that Mike had been hanging out with, when I first saw him at the restaurant. David, the leader with the spiky blonde hair, punched Michael in the face. I pulled the young boys down farther underneath the couch.
"What the hell was that all about?" Michael yelled.
"You needed it" David replied calmly.
"Yeah, jackass" A hot blonde from the back named Paul yelled in.
"Fuck you Paul, There are children in here and you guys are not going to hurt them.
"Don't worry Michael. We're just here to take Star." David said.
Star walked out from behind Michael and into David's grasp.
"See you later asshole!" yelled Paul as they made their way back to their motorcycles.
Michael slammed the door and ran upstairs. We heard another door slam that must have been his room. We stood up from behind the couch.
"Umm, I better go guys" I said quietly.
"Yeah, ok" the boys replied.
We all hugged, then I left to go back to the lodge.
When I got back, I couldn't get in. The key wasn't under the plant where it was supposed to be. I pushed and shoved on the door, but it wouldn't budge.
Great, what could be better?
I looked around as I realized what was happening. The whole place had gone. Everybody had left.
I had missed the evacuation!
