Here is the sequel to Painful Memories: Perfect Symmetry! I've always wanted to use that as a title. And for the sequel, this was the perfect title. You'll soon see why (in fact, you should already know). Here's the prologue to get everything straightened out.

Prologue

The nightmares... The memories... The voice... Why had they haunted him? Why had the war started? Why was he suddenly finding himself weaker? Why was Greeton attacking? Did it all have to do with demons as he was told in the dungeon?

Albel didn't know why. The more questions he asked, the less answers he recieved. In the middle of the night, he left Airyglyph on a new journey, a personal journey. He wanted to find out the answers, not only for himself, but for his country. And for his only friends. The voice inside his head blocked out any other thoughts. It was commanding him.

Come to me, it said. All will be made clear. So he listened.

As a message, he left his father's sword, the Crimson Scourge, outside the city. This was supposed to tell anyone who found it that he had left. He knew that they would probably never find out where he had gone.

Now, he was on the border between Gaitt and Greeton. Winter was arriving in both continents. This would make the journey harder for him. Albel continued on anyway.

Meanwhile, Nel borrowed a Lum from the stables and rode off into the mountains. She had a feeling that she knew where Albel was going: Greeton. She clutched the sword tighter at the thought.

No one but them knew about any of this. In the morning, the rest of the group would wonder where they were. They might never find out. Maybe they would would go to Greeton to look for them just as Nel was doing.

Wars may change lives temporarily, but personal wars change the person forever. What may seem like a losing battle can be the dawn of a better life.

And it all started with the painful memories...

How's that for a start? I'll tell you some things that I will be adding. There will be a character I made up in here that will be helping Albel and Nel. She will be appearing in Chapter III or IV. I will also be making up Greeton cities and landscapes. Lastly, there will be MUCH more fluff. I plan to bring Albel and Nel closer together. They will be traveling together alone in extreme conditions and under the threat of death, after all. This story will be truly considered an AlbelxNel. Hope you continue reading! See ya around!
