Notes: This is slightly different that anything I have done before. I think it's a good different, though. At least I hope so! ;)

X-factor: Unknown element
There is a certain x-factor in our relationship. Some element that no one can define.
We both know it's there.
I get the feeling that we are more than friends.
Yet we are both too scared to admit to something more.
One thing I know, though.
Something that I learned after I met Catherine, because I would have argued this point before I met her and actually experienced it myself.
Sometimes, things just are.
Science cannot prove or disprove them; they are just there.
They cannot be analyzed; they are permanently a mystery.
But that is okay. This is one thing I don't want to mess with.
This thing that pushes us together even when we think that we want to be apart.
This thing that seems to know our hearts better than we do ourselves.
This mysterious x-factor that draws us together.
This thing that, hopefully, will one day push one of us to make that move; the final move that each of us is waiting on the other to make.
Given time, I'm sure it will happen.
But until then, we are simply friends; drawn together by something stronger than ourselves.
