Jack's Little Pearl
Coming Soon…
A mother's sacrifice…
She looked to the bay and saw the black ship with black sails sailing away to the horizon.
"I promise Little One. I will find you! We will be a family again!" she whispered to the wind before blowing a kiss. She stood and solemnly walked back to town, ready to find a job that would get her off Tortuga and let her earn her fortune to find her baby girl.
A treasure found…
"Cap'n, you best come see this!" cried Gibbs from the center of a small crowd of his crew. Jack sighed and sputtered his lips, tying the helm down with rope to maintain their course. He swaggered down the ladder from the quarterdeck and crossed the deck joining his quartermaster saying in a slurred but precise Cockney,
"Ye best have a good reason for pulling me away from my Pearl, Gibbs!" Gibbs grabbed his younger Captain by the shoulder and pulled him to look under the ladder leading to the bow. Jack's dark brown eyes opened wide with surprise. There was a wee baby tucked in a coil of rope!
A reluctant father…
"…Here hold her while I get her bottle ready!" said Anamaria handing the baby over to Jack.
"Oh, no no no!" protested Jack backing up from the kid.
"Why does she have to like me anyway?" asked Jack. Ana smirked,
"Don't know. Can't account for taste I suppose!"
"Goodnight Jack!" called Ana as she and Gibbs left their captain looking to them with a panicked look to his eyes.
He got up and laid Ameila down in her bed and tucked her doll in with her. He was amazed at how he caught himself smiling. He whispered,
"Night Little Amy!"
With a willing heart…
"Then we can take her right away!" exclaimed the Senora holding out her arms for her. Don Diego smiled and gestured,
"Capitain?" Jack stepped forward to place Amelia in the waiting woman's grasp when he stepped back and shook his head,
"No."
"No?" asked Don Diego.
"No!" exclaimed Gibbs.
"Gibbs, we ain't giving Amy up to them. Call a council of the crew together." said Jack going back up the gangplank.
"But Jack!" cried Gibbs chasing after him.
"Come to Daddy darlin'...bit closer...bit closer...There's my girl!" As he lifted her up into the air, Amy softly said,
"Da-Da!"
Jack took Amy to the helm and said to her as she pulled at one of his long, dark brown dreadlocks and then a strand of multicolored beads,
"I promise Little One. You'll always be loved...and you'll always have a home."
"He kept her! Why would he keep her!" Freddy demanded as they walked back to Tortuga.
"Maybe he grew to love her!" said Thompson.
"Well, he's not going to keep her! I put her on that ship to get her away from Tortuga and pirates, not so she could be raised by them! I'm taking her back, Thompson! Tonight!" said Freddy.
But a new problem…
Freddy stood in outrage, causing Jack to raise the pistol level with her head,
"She is NOT your daughter! She is MY daughter!" Jack said quietly in surprise,
"What?"
…Will defiantly stir things up.
"I'm not going to bed unless you admit you fancy Freddy!" said Amy with determination as she folded her arms. Jack paused a minute then shrugged,
"Your funeral!"
"I'll just leave you two to chat!" said Amy with a wicked plotting grin before she exited the cabin. Freddy watched her as she left, then picked up her goblet to sip her wine,
"What was that about?"
"Amy is under the impression that we share a mutual attraction and should live happily ever after." Jack said evenly satisfied Freddy choked on her drink.
"You're my Mummy…and Captain Sparrow is my Daddy. Why can't the two people I so very love more than anything…love each other?" asked Amy as Freddy looked up to Jack's intensive stare asking for an answer. Amy added,
"Well?" When Freddy only stood up straight, Jack added,
"Well Luv?"
