I've done it!" Clockwerk cried. "I have figured out how to get rid of the Cooper family for ever! It's quite simple really. I can't believe I didn't think of it before! I go back and change Sly Cooper's past to where he becomes a cop.

With that Clockwerk stepped into the time portal. The time was set to when Morgan Cooper was born.

Chapter 1

A Thief

The sirens wailed and flashed. A lone figure stood on the Paris rooftops. It looked down at the police cars and laughed. It would never be caught and it knew it. The figure ran over to a nearby rope and walked across it. Then it jumped down and walked into the building.

"Finally, we thought you had been caught," said a turtle who was sitting at a table in the front room. The hippo beside him nodded.

"Sorry, I just thought I would have a little fun," Carmelita said as she stepped out of the shadows and into the lights. She laid the painting she had just stolen on the on the table. Then she untied the mask that was around her eyes.

"Oh well. It will sell good on theifnet," Bentley said.

Bentley walked over to his computer. He pressed a few buttons then turned around and said "It's worth 3,459 dollars!"

"I did well tonight," Carmelita said. After saying that she walked out of the room and went to hers.

Carmelita lay in bed and thought about all thje successful heists that she, Bentley, and Murray had pulled off in the past. They were one of the most successful thieving groups. There had been Clockwerk though. He always managed to steal anything, rob anyone, and to never get caught. Also, he seemed to live on forever. How was that possible? Carmelita had no answers to that so she soon forgot about it and soon drifted off to sleep.

Clockwerk smiled to himself. After hundreds of years, he had done it! He was rid of the Coopers forever! No one would stop him or get in his way now! He wondered about the fox though. She might be able to find out what Clockwerk had done. He must never let her see his book on his plan. Never! Not her or the raccoon for that matter!

Carmelita woke up the next morning and went to the kitchen. She was surprised to find Bentley cooking.

"I thought you didn't like to cook," Carmelita said.

"I don't," Bentley replied matter of fact.

"Then why are you?" asked Carmelita.

"Because the painting sold," Bentley said in the same tone.

"So? We do it all the time. Big deal," said Carmelita.

"It sold for 5,000 dollars," Bentley said matter of fact again.

"5,000 dollars!" cried Carmelita.

"Yes," Bentley said calmly.

"I'm going for a short walk," Carmelita said.

"Be careful," Bentley replied.

Carmelita walked out of the safehouse. She climbed up a nearby pipe.

As Carmelita was jumping from roof to roof, she heard a familiar voice.

"Freeze Miss Fox!" it said.

"Inspector Cooper," Carmelita said. "What a pleasant surprise."
