Skyler Prynne had always wanted to be the best Magic the Gathering player that ever lived. However, it's kind of hard to achieve such a goal in a world where everyone just happens to play Magic. Plus it doesn't make his situation any better in the fact that he attends a school were showdowns between players ranked from Apprentice to full blown Planeswalkers are common place. Seriously, even the Principle of his school is a Worlds caliber duelist!
But everything begins to change when Skyler discovers a very strange ability that lurks deep inside him. He can here what the creatures on the 2-D flat pieces of cardboard are saying a can feel their emotions as well! This comes as quite a shock to young master Prynne, but soon everything begins to become clear when he finds out just why so many people are beginning to challenge him to dangerous Planeswalker battles.
Will his newfound talent lead him to the top of the duelist food chain?
