Always haunting me.
Never ceasing.
Hallucinations of the friends I long to see.
Echoes of the past,
Race in my head.
Things that were heard,
And Things that were said.
Friends that were made,
Tears that were shed…
Figments and echoes
Play in my head.
My mind is not here,
Don't bother speaking with me.
I know you're not real,
The only one truly here is me.
My dark past,
My horror and fears.
They just took control
Over the last twenty years.
I wish I could say it was you,
And return to what was then.
But I'm not here…
