A Vendetta Written in Blood

"HEY! Koori wait up!"

Kyosuke yelled as he ran to try to keep up with his friend Koori, a pretty girl one year younger than Kyosuke. She stopped and waited for him to catch up. He soon strode up next to her and began to catch his breath. When he looked up tears were streaming down Kooris face.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he stood up, "You Ok?"

"If I was ok, I wouldn't be crying… You forgot something last night. What was it!" Kyosuke's face suddenly went pale. "Oh… Shit… Koori I totally forgot." "You never forget when you're supposed to go out with one of those tramps! But when your supposed to go with me," she wiped her eyes on her sleeve, "You always forget!" "I'm sorry, Ill make it up to you!" She began to walk again, ignoring him as she did. Kyosuke stepped in front of her and began to walk backwards. "Come on Koori! How about we go do Karaoke right after school then! Besides I wouldn't have been able to sing well last night, I had MT training. All the yelling messes with my voice." "God, its always the same excuses! Does Kisaragi own your soul or something!" "I wont be able to become a Raven without working for them. Id have to move if I worked for Crest or Mirage. And besides, it wont last much longer. I have my Raven Test in a few more weeks." "Fine, we'll go right after school. You can pay for Taki and Ame too."

"You win… I will… Geeze you're a tyr-" Kyosuke tripped over a crack in the ground and fell backwards onto woman. He stood up and rubbed the back of his head.

"Oww… Damn what the hell happened. Uh sorry 'bout that…"

He turned around a looked the woman he bumped into as she stood up. She turned her head to look at him, "Hey asshole! Watch where your walking you stupid fucktard!" "Hey, what's your problem!" He replied "I apologized!"

She turned all the way around and Kyosuke looked with amazement at her. She had a black patch over her left eye socket with a red four embroidered on it. It complimented her angered features perfectly.

"Do you think that matters! Do you know who I am!" "Yeah, I do! Your Red Four! The highest ranking woman in the Arena." he replied in a smart-alecky tone. "Your damn right I am! Get the FUCK out of my way, stupid ass!"

As she walked by she landed a hard punch into Kyosuke's stomach and stormed off. He doubled over to catch his breath. His breakfast began to come up. He swallowed it back down.

"Ugh… Fuckin' bitch…"

He stood back up and some stander-bys were just turning away to continue on with their own business. Some girls from his school were watching and giggling. Koori gently put her hand on his shoulder.

"You ok? That looked like it hurt…" "Yeah, it did… When I get my license, I'll do what ever it takes… to make her pay for this… Lets go."

They started off toward their school once again.
