A/N: This is a bit of a challenge for me. It was supposed to be a drabble, but that...didn't work. So it's a triple-drabble, I guess. 300 words. It feels a bit jilted because I was struggling to make it fit. Concrit, please?

Chloe's not jealous, really.
She doesn't feel the slightest bit of resentment towards her cousin, not even in the blackest hours of the night, when she is alone with her thoughts. Just because it was her that got Lois into journalism – that's no reason to hate her. The pupil surpasses the teacher. It's the natural order of things.
And Chloe doesn't really care that Lois is now what she used to want to be when she grew up. Working Chloe's dream job. Dating Chloe's high school crush.
It doesn't matter. Time changes things. Chloe wouldn't want that life, anways.
She's happy with her life. The Inquisitor is a respectable newspaper…well, it's not Weekly World News, at least. She never got over her attraction to men with 'saving-people things,' but detective Crispus Allen fulfills that need better than she could have hoped for.
And she doesn't care that Lois Lane is working at the greatest newspaper in the world and engaged to the living, breathing definition of superhero.
Because sometimes, she's having lunch with her cousin, and they catch a news broadcast declaring to the world that the Justice League is fighting the latest of many alien invaders. And sometimes, someone has got some kind of camera footage of the battle, and she sees Lois flinch everytime the Man of Steel takes a hit.
Other times, Lois shows up on Chloe's doorstep with a drawn face and a large supply of chocolate. Those nights they fall asleep on the couch together, watching Superman dig children out of rubble from an earthquake in China.
Chloe doesn't want that.
She never stares at her cousin and wants to snarl that she could handle it better. That Lois isn't emotionally ready for this. That just given a chance Chloe could—
Because she's not jealous.
