A/N: Sorry it took so long to update! I've been like super busy, but I promise I will update more often on both of my wonderful fanfics.

I decided to take the long way home. Believe me, I was in no hurry to see my roommate, Shawna, making out with a guy she just met at the rock concert last week. I love her to pieces, but she goes through guys like I go through a container of Oreos! Some people call her a slut, but she says she's just "tryin' 'em on fer size".

It was pretty dark and hardly anyone was on the street. I think most people were at the bars or clubs. Anyway, I kept feeling like I was being watched or followed; I blew it off, but if I knew that all this would've happened, I would of ran like a bat out of hell. 'Okay, now I'm certain I'm being followed!' I thought. 'But then again….nah, it's just my mind wandering. I mean God, Lexi, you're 21 now!'

"Excuse me," came this mysterious voice. I turned around to face the stranger and came face-to-face with one of the hottest guys I had ever seen.

"Y-yes?" I asked, nervously.

"Can you tell me where I can find a place to stay?" he asked.

"Umm…" I said. "The hotels in this area are full because of the holidays, but there are a few hotels about 5 miles from here in Bridgeville."

"Charna's guts!" the man cried out. I frowned at his strange curse. I mean most people say damn or shit or something along those lines. "I'm sorry, I don't believe I've introduced myself. I'm Mika Ver Leth."

"Alexandra Kelson," I replied, shaking his hand. We walked for a little while and talked about random things. When we reached a better lit area, I noticed all the scars on his face. 'Where'd they come from,' I silently wondered.

As if reading my mind, he laughed. "Oh, the scars! I wondered why you were looking at me funny. I got these scars in a battle many years ago."

"What's so funny?" I snapped, feeling rather annoyed and stupid.

"Nothing," he said, then seeing my expression he quickly added, "Really, it's nothing."

'He's hiding something,' I thought. I decided to blow it off again. It was probably nothing anyway. We were getting close to my apartment now.
