Star Wars: Love Hurts
Ten years after the Jedi Civil Wars, nearly four thousand years before the Empire, the Republic is finally at peace.
The Jedi have finally recovered from attacks from both Revan and a Jedi simply know as the Exile.
Now, the Jedi Temple is teaching, and everything is good and light.
Although the Exile died not but ten years after the Civil War, nobody ever found out what happened to Revan.
Now, the Jedi are searching to find him, before he spreads the dark side in a world of good…
Cornell crept along, hoping not to be seen. He was fifteen, still a Padawan, on Malachor 5, an outer rim planet. It was the Jedi civil wars, and he had managed not to be killed yet. Thank the Force.
He quickly ran behind a boulder, his lightsaber turned off, as to not attract attention. See, Malachor was a dark, muddy planet, covered in rocks and mountains. Right now, he was on a flat land, his best friend Sorna right beside him. They looked at each other, but said nothing. Even a whisper could be heard by Revan's Sith followers, who would kill a Jedi on sight. And when you have nothing but a Jedi robe to protect you, you learn to be careful.
Cornell looked around the corner of the boulder, seeing two Sith. They were older, probably better trained than him, but for some reason, he had an instinct to fight, something telling him that he and Sorna could pull it off.
He looked at Sorna and pointed at the Sith, who's backs were to them. Sorna shook his head. Sorna had always been a great swordsman, powerful in the force, but had been very scared most of the war. Cornell couldn't exactly blame him; most of their other friends were already dead or seriously wounded. But that made all the more reason to attack them, to get back at the Sith. Cornell signaled to go again. Sorna shook his head again.
"Come on, do it for the others," Cornell mouthed. Sorna rolled his eyes.
"Fine," he mouthed. Cornell bent down.
Using the force, Cornell and Sorna nearly fifteen feet into the air at the Sith, their lightsabers glowing blue in the dark planet. The Sith spun around, swinging their lightsabers before Cornell even landed. Cornell's blue lightsaber clashed with the Sith's , creating sparks everywhere. Cornell backed off to strike again, but the Sith extended his hand, and a blast of the Force knocked Cornell several feet away, Cornell's head striking a small rock. He tried to get up but the whole world was spinning around him, or at least it seemed like it.
Suddenly, the Sith was standing over him, his red lightsaber glowing.
"Say goodnight," he laughed, and raised the lightsaber up high. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Sorna came leaping towards the Sith. The Sith spun around, swinging his lightsaber at Sorna. The blade connected twice, one slice taking off his legs, the other cutting into his side. Cornell screamed as Sorna hit the ground. Cornell grabbed his lightsaber, turned it on, and jumped up. He was on his feet before the Sith could even take a breath. Cornell swung the blade at the Sith's waist. The blade cut through the Sith like a knife through butter. The Sith gasped, and looked into Cornell's eyes. A single line of blood began to flow from the Sith's mouth as his body split in half.
Cornell ran over to Sorna, who was lying in the dirt. Cornell kneeled beside him. Cornell looked at the wound on his side. The lightsaber had cut him deep. Cornell wished Sorna was alright, but he wasn't. He was dead. Probably died moments after he was cut. He had died for Cornell…
Cornell awoke in his bed. He was covered in sweat. It wasn't the war anymore. Just a dream…only a dream…
