She Just Wants Him There

WinEd, first FMA fic, sorry if some characters seem OOC or whatever... and yes, it's a very short oneshot.

Summary: She just wants him there. Slight WinEd. BETTER THAN IT SOUNDS. 3rd.

It was then that she decided: he truly was blind. Okay, maybe not really blind . . . he just seemed to miss some of the most obvious things. That's what she thought, at least. Him and his brother were always out doing reckless things. But for a good cause. While she waited for him to return home she had to find things to do, and occupy herself. Occasionally people wanting auto-mail done gave her something to take away the time, but they weren't always there. Otherwise, she didn't have much to do. She lived with her grandma, had a dog, and lost her parents. Really, the excitement of them returning and few other insignificant things were what mattered.

Every time he returned she was very excited. And yet, the only time he returned was when he needed fixing. She appeared rough on the outside with her wrench, and the wrench was because he always broke his auto-mail, but it was really her way of telling him that he should feel more welcome. That he can come to her and tell her things. That he needed to visit her. She was concerned and hoped for the both of them.

Every day she awaited their return. The day they came back together with their real limbs, with their success. She hoped for their accomplishment.

"Visitor!" She heard her grandmother's voice ring. Another auto-mail costumer, she suspected. She hurried down to their level and was shocked to see what was at the door. Him. His auto-mail wasn't broken.

His brother, too.

That night she stood outside on the top level and turned her bright light on and off to get them home. They'd come to her, to the house, and now she'd made them stay for just a little longer.

She'd make Ed stay for just a little longer.
