Maria's POV

I am currently sitting on my couch watching TV on a Saturday night…..normally I would be doing something with Michael but he's out with Courtney tonight. I hardly ever get to see him anymore.

I know you are probably thinking I am a selfish brat who doesn't want Michael to be happy. Trust me I want Michael to be happy…more than anything.

Its just that we have been friends since we were two and it was always Michael and Maria or Maria and Michael. Even in junior high when we met Max, Liz, Isabel, and Alex we were always closer than anyone else in the group. Then Courtney comes along and all of sudden Michael has no time for me…at all.

I remember when I first met her…..

We were at a party…..Max and Liz were making out somewhere…Alex and Isabel were dancing…..I was getting a drink….and Michael was dancing with Courtney. At the time I didn't think anything of it…you know it's a party and at parties you dance.

About a week later Michael invited her to eat lunch with us…she ended up sitting with us for two weeks straight. Shortly after Michael and Courtney exchanged numbers he asked her out and of course she said yes.

Their relationship progressed…and they supposedly fell in love. That brings us to now. Michael and I hardly see each other. He doesn't even come to class half the time because he's to busy making out with Courtney in the eraser room.

When we were little Michael and I use to talk about one day falling in love…well none of us expected it to be like this. If only we knew about the nightmare that was about to follow.

AU-The first few chapters are just introducing the characters and yes they will be short. I should have a new chapter for "Confused Love" by next weekend.
