Prologue
"Dumbledore," Cornelius Oswald Fudge sneered, "am I to believe that this…this…Azkaban escapee is innocent!"
Dumbledore looked at Fudge imperiously, tilting his head so that his glittering eyes shone above his glasses. "Why yes, Cornelius, you are."
Fudge blustered. "Is that a threat, Albus?" The Minister addressed the Headmaster by his first name, as if that could put him above Dumbledore's innate majesty.
The elder (by more than a century) nodded genially, smiling benignly at the shorter, bowler topped head. "I don't quite know, Cornelius, depends what comes out of this."
Through this all, Harry Potter and Sirius Black (escaped convict extraordinaire) stood silently in the corner, nervous and excited all at once. Harry turned towards Sirius. "If you're freed, does that mean I get to come live with you?"
