Living is easy with eyes closed… but so is dying.
It's easy to just close your eyes and give in. Close your eyes and forget about your pathetic little life. Close your eyes and forget that you couldn't save her.
It's probably better if you just give in. After all what is the point of you? You only wanted to protect Claire and now they have her. Your nobody's hero now, and you'll never be hers.
Yes living is easy with eyes closed, but so is dying. Giving up and letting the darkness swallow you is a hell of a lot easier than fighting. So you think to yourself, maybe it's time to close your eyes and disappear.
