A/N: Hello people! This is one what ever you call it, that I wrote one night. LOL! It kinda sucks and it's short…On my other story "After All" I have the next chapter ready, but I don't know if you all will like it. And I want to use an idea someone gave me… So it probably won't be updated for a month or a week or 3… LOL! Anyways yeah… On with the story.
She wiped the last bit of tears from her swollen eyes. She felt weak and alone.
Her clothes were soaked from the rain. Her long, blonde hair felt glued to her neck.
Some of them will sing the blues. Their shadows searching in the night… Heaven must have found emotion ((This song is by Journey I don't own it!))
"No!" She yelled and dropped to the wet concrete. She covered her face with her hands, muffling her cries.
The energy felt drained from her small form. Her body shook from the sobs.
"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry." She said in a low whisper. "I'm sorry!"
She trembled from the dropping temperature. She was so very cold.
Her hands quickly came from her face into clenched fists. 'If only…'
The sound of footsteps caught her off guard as she was lifted up into a pair of warm arms.
"Serena. I'm sorry." His voice brought her to her senses.
"Don't!" Serena begged looking up into his dark, blue eyes. "It's my fault."
Darien shook his head. "No, its not."
"God… I'm so sorry. This should have never happened." Serena chocked on a small sob.
Darien frowned and hugged her tighter. "It has and now it's over. I loved you from the beginning not her!"
Serena tried to smile, it failed. "I betrayed her. You two were getting married. I screwed it up."
"No, you didn't! Serena…" Darien pleaded. "I love you. Damnit! None of this matters! I love you!"
"I love you too, Darien." Serena smiled.
The scene from earlier would never leave her mind. Her best friend Raye, has caught them together… Kissing… Holding…
Darien seeing her eyes cloud over again took her chin in his hands and forced her to look at him. "Don't worry. We can finally be together. This should have never happened at all. If only, I would have told her earlier."
Serena sobbed. Not to long ago they... In her mind... Had loved each other so much, it at times broke her heart. "She hates me now. I betrayed her."
"We both did. Not from earlier, but from never telling her we were in love."
"Oh God. I feel so horrible." Serena clung to him. Afraid of the future. Afraid of loosing him.
Darien pulled her closer to his body. He ran a hand through her tangled hair.
"I love you dearly Serena. I don't know what id do if I lost you."
"That's the same way I feel."
Darien smiled looking into her blue eyes. He slowly bent his head down and kissed her lips.
Time would only fix all the pain. Love would heal the wounds that were left… From now to here on out…
