My Hero

This was a poem that I written for my grandpa who past away not to long ago and he was a person I will always remember in my life .A poem that from a daughter to her father over the years . Emily the daughter of Jane and Tarzan Disney version.

You were there from the time I was born

Wondering if this baby is now in your heart

Watching me grow bigger and stronger

Catching me when I fall or when I had a skinned knee

You were right there to make me feel better

That was you my hero

I'm now a young woman and no longer a little girl anymore

We still spend time together and one of our favorite things to do is tree tag

Now a visitor from England has arrived in the jungle

I go down to the docks and see a young man has come

To be grandpa's assistant

With each passing day I enjoy this young man's company

You noticed that I don't have time for tree tag but

Your seeing me your daughter growing up and falling in love

I'll still remember you as my hero

Now hear I am all grown up and becoming somebody's wife

Looking at our family pictures I remember the good times we have shared

A tear falls from my face and you wipe my eye just like

I was a little girl

You tell me that I'm beautiful and the smile on your face

Lets me know everything is going to be all right

We dance to a song and I saw in your eyes

The father I have always loved

You will still see me as the little girl

That you and mom rose

I will always see my father as my hero

You will always be my hero who has told me stories

Funny person who made me laugh and a kind and understanding one

This is to you grandpa even though your gone I'll always think of you as my hero
