Chapter One : Meet Mai "Have you ever wondered why Momo's alive?" asked Sokka. Momo was getting on his last nerves.
"That's right, Aang! How could he? There must be airbenders left!" Katara. "I hope so," whispered Aang.

"Mai." A young girl, fourteen of age, turned around. "Yes, Misaki?" she asked. " It's time for you to disguise yourself," Misaki said back.
"Alright," Mai said with a heavy sigh,"I'm coming"
"The Avatar has returned. We all trust you to find him and help him. You must..." " I know. Now, what are we doing?" "Well," Misaki started, as if it was obvious, " I must cover your tatooes, so you must wear a longsleeve shirt, a hat, pants, and gloves." " Fine," Mai said sighing another heavy sigh. "Mai, I don't want you to leave, but the fate of all the airbenders and the Avatar rests in your hands." "Why did it have to be me, though?" Mai asked, looking up at her friend. "I'm fully confidant in your abilities. You should be too." All Mai felt she could do was smile. "Here," Misaki said, handing Mai Earth Kindom clothes, "change into these." "Thanks," Mai said. " You're an unbelivablely awesome airbender. you can take care of yourself, Mai. Or should I say, 'Master Mai"
Misaki said, giving a dramatic bow. " You know I hate it when you call me 'Master'. It makes me feel weird." " Well, you should be used to it after three years of having the title..." Misaki teased. Mai stopped walking and turned around. Misaki prepared for the worse, stopped, and crindged. But surprisingly all Mai did was smile and say,"You know what, you're right." Misaki relaxed. " Really?" she asked sarcastically. " Yep. Now let's get to our room so I can change," she said, beginning to walk again. " Wait up!" Misaki called running. Mai picked up her pace and ended up running too. They both ran to their room, giggling and luckily not being caught by none of the Monks. They both stopped right in time. Mai opened the door. " I won," she said, giggling. "No, I won," Misaki said going into the room. " Yes I did..." Mai said in a sing-song voice, closing the door.
